During an event on October at the Italian Pavillon at  Expo2020Dubai, researchers from the University of Pavia, Napoli Parthenope and CNR-IREA presented cutting edge EarthObservation technologies based on radar and multi- and hyperspectral sensors. This web app was developed by David Marzi from our lab using GoogleEarthEngine, you will be able to see color composites, investigate abundance maps of the main construction materials that are used in the urban area of Dubai (e.g., concrete and metals) and inspect some interesting vegetation indices (e.g., NDVI and #EVI), just by clicking on the different layers in the interactive panel. Finally, if you click wherever you like in the City, you will be able to see in real time the spectral signature of the clicked location, generated based on the hyperspectral data from the Italian mission PRISMA.

From its rudimentary emergence in the 50s, to the more recent development of deep learning, machine learning been an complete game changer when it comes to being able to quickly interpret and act on remote sensing data.

The paper entitled "Electromyography Data Transmission via Galvanic Coupling Intra-body Communication Link,", recently presented at 8th ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication (NanoCom 2021), received the best paper award recognition

Anna Vizziello has been nominated as TPC chair for the nest editon of the conference NanoCom 2922 which will be held at the Universita Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain.

 

 

The paper "A Kalman based Hybrid Precoding for Multi-User Millimeter Wave MIMO Systems" published by the research group at the TLC&RS Lab in collaboration with Northeastern University, Boston, USA, was the most read research item from the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering, University of Pavia, Italy, with a total number of more than 1.100 reads.
